911 Education Program
The Marshall County Communications Center offers a 911 Education Program designed to help both adults and students learn when, and how, to call 911, what information 911 Communications Specialists will ask for, and how callers can stay calm and communicate effectively when seconds count.
Our team participates in community events, school visits, and public safety demonstrations to help residents of all ages become more familiar with the 911 process. For younger students, presentations focus on recognizing emergencies and knowing what to say when calling 911. For older students and adults, we dive deeper into how emergency communications work behind the scenes, from caller location technology to dispatcher coordination with law enforcement, fire, and EMS.
Whether you’re a teacher, community organizer, or business leader, we’re happy to customize a presentation to fit your group’s needs. Our goal is to build confidence, awareness, and understanding of the vital role 911 plays in keeping our community safe.
To request a 911 Education presentation for your school, organization, or community event, please fill out our online form at the bottom of this page or contact us directly via email.
We look forward to connecting with you and helping your group learn how 911 truly works, because knowing what to do in an emergency saves lives.
